General objectives

1.   Increase skills in general use of Microsoft Excel 2010;

2.   Increase the ability of users to use the keyboard as much as possible instead of the mouse and thus improve the speed of computer use;

3.   Increasing users ability to use formulas in Excel;

4.   Increase the ability of users to work with data, including through the use of filters, pivot tables and subtotals;

Specific Objectives and Contents

This course consists of 6 modules and is about 90 minutes long. In each module there is a video to see and an Excel file to download and work.

By the end of this course you will know how to use Excel 2010 to process a data table with information about hypertension patients, in order to calculate some performance indicators and produce tables of frequencies of some variables.

Advanced Microsoft Word training, including:

1. Formatting font and paragraph;

2. Advanced use of copy-paste and find-replace:

3. Formatting styles, with activation via the keyboard;

4. Inserting page, section and column breaks;

5. Formatting limits and shading;

6. Formatting bulleted and numbered lists;

7. Formatting lowercase/uppercase,

8. Building an automatic index,

9. Control sections of the document: pagination, headers and footers;

10. Inserting and formatting tables;

11. Inserting and formatting figures;

12. Subtitling automatic tables, figures and tables;

13. Using cross-references;

14. Using the [track changes tool], to help sharing documents.

At the end of this course you will know how to build a detailed activities report or a curriculum vitae. You'll get a template document that can be easily adapted by you.

10. Advanced printing operations;

At the end of this course will be capable of performing the usual tasks necessary for the statistics of a report of activities. In addition, you will have access to Excel documents that can be used to adapt to your own professional context.
